Welcome to Comparative World Religions!

The purpose of this course is to educate students on the major belief systems of the world. Students will recieve a general foundation of all major belief systems, as well as opportunities to research various details within those belief systems. Students will also recognize the role religion has played in the world from the beginning of time through the present. The overall objective is to promote awareness and tolerance of people's various traditions, beliefs, and practices - religious or nonreligious. Students will create a portfolio of information, which will catalog their learning process throughout the duration of the trimester.
